- Hope For Today
May 7 – Psalms 62:5-8
Let all that I am wait quietly before God, for my hope is in Him. He alone is my Rock and my Salvation, my Fortress where I will not be shaken. My victory and honor come from God alone. He is my Refuge, a Rock where no enemy can reach me. Oh my people, trust in Him at all times! Pour out your heart to Him, for God is our Refuge!
Waiting quietly before God has to be one of the most difficult things in the world to actually do! Am I right? But friends, our hope is in Him! It has to be. If our hope is in ANYTHING else, it will fail. We will be disappointed. He alone is a sure and steady Rock. He alone is our Salvation! May we examine our hearts today. Have we put our hope in something else? Have we believed we can find peace or happiness in a relationship outside of Him? Have we looked to another to offer us strength, or stability, or purpose, or meaning? Are we finding our identity in something other than Him? May we confess and turn today! Let's not wait another second! He ALONE is our Rock, our Salvation, our Fortress! He does not change. He will not lie. Let's bunker down inside His Truth and find safety from the storms! Let's recognize that our identity is simply as the dearly loved children of the Great I AM! Anything else is trivial. Our honor and victory are secure, no matter how we fail, for we have been made right with God! May we truly and wholly trust Him AT ALL TIMES. He is trustworthy my friends! Completely! He is a refuge, and we can find absolute safety in Him. So let's pour our hearts out to Him now. Let's find a Haven in His perfect love.
