- Hope For Today
March 26 – 2 Corinthians 5: 15 & 17
He died for everyone so that those who receive His new life will no longer live for themselves. Instead, they will live for Christ, who died and was raised for them. This means that anyone who belongs to Christ has become a new person. The old life is gone; an new life has begun!
Do you ever find yourself acting like the person you were before you knew Christ? I think we all look up some days and realize that we have put our focus completely upon ourselves. We find that our words, our actions, our thoughts are all based in selfishness. What a tragedy it is when that happens because it's NOT who we are anymore. We're not like the rest of the world. We're not aimless, purposeless, pathetic, and lost. We were bought with a price – a very high price. We were purchased; redeemed by the blood of Christ and set free from the chains that bound us to that selfish way of life. We were adopted into the family of God and given a new identity. We are brand new creations, my friends; the children of the King. Let's remember that today. Let's stop acting like we belong to this world and start acting like we belong to HIM!
