- Hope For Today
February 11 - Jude 24-25
Now all glory to God, who is able to keep you from falling away and will bring you with great joy into His glorious presence without a single fault. All glory to Him who alone is God, our Savior through Jesus Christ our Lord. All glory, majesty, power, and authority are His before all time, and in the present, and beyond all time! Amen.
Are you living in the truth that you will one day stand before God without a single fault? How often do we get caught up in trying to get to that point in our own strength? I think if we’re honest, we’ll all admit that it’s a regular issue. So, what’s at the root of this tendency? Is it that we have more faith in our own ability to live a righteous life than we do in the power of the blood of Jesus Christ to cover all our sins? Do we doubt that He’s really able to keep us from falling away? Do we forget that He alone is God; that He alone can save us? And here’s the kicker, have we forgotten that ALL glory, ALL majesty, ALL power, and ALL authority are His? Have we forgotten that since before the beginning of time, He has been the very same, and He will not change today, tomorrow, or ever! Have we forgotten our insignificance apart from Him? Have we placed ourselves in a place where only He belongs? If so, may we repent at this very moment! May we fall on our knees before Him and attribute all glory to Him alone. May we renew our confidence in the fact that He is the only one who can keep us from falling away and bring us into His glorious presence without a single fault! May we praise Him together right now because He is the only true God and He has saved us through Jesus Christ our Lord! May we join together and offer to Him all glory, all majesty, all power, and all authority acknowledging that they have always belonged to Him. May we worship our eternal Lord and look forward to the day when we will stand together before Him, without a single fault: His pure and glorious bride.
