- Hope For Today
February 26 - Isaiah 43:7-13
"Bring all who claim me as their God, for I have made them for my glory. It is I who created them.'" Bring out the people who have eyes but are blind, who have ears but are deaf. Gather all the nations together! Assemble the peoples of the world! Which of their idols has ever foretold such things? Which can predict what will happen tomorrow? Where are the witnesses of such predictions? Who can verify that they spoke the truth? "But you are my witnesses. Oh Israel!" Says the Lord. "You are my servant. You have been chosen to know me, believe in me, and understand that I alone am God. There is no other God – there never has been, and there never will be. I, yes, I, am the Lord, and there is no other Savior. First I predicted your rescue, then I saved you and proclaimed it to the world. No foreign god has ever done this. You are witnesses that I am the only God," says the Lord. "From eternity to eternity I AM God. No one can snatch anyone out of my hand. No one can undo what I have done."
We have the unmatched privilege to serve the only true God! He does not mince words, and He does not shy away from claiming His authority. He states it plainly. He alone is God! There is no other. There never was and there never will be. People the world over may serve other things. They may reserve their worship for what is created rather than for the Creator. Yet, not one of them can claim the mighty deeds which our God has accomplished. No, my friends, those people do not speak truth, and their gods are nothing more than deceptions. But as the children of the Lord God Almighty, we have been grafted into His family. We have become part of the promise. When He speaks to Israel, He now speaks to us, and He says, "You have been chosen to know Me, believe in Me, and understand that I alone am God...You are My witnesses." So let's speak out! Let's proclaim with every breath that our God reigns upon the throne of Heaven! Let us be gathered with all those who claim the Great I AM as their God. Let us recognize that He has created us for His glory, and let us live to fulfill that call! Let us rejoice together in the security of His care, knowing that we can never be snatched from His hand. No power above, or on earth below can undo what He has done, for His reign stretches from eternity to eternity. He is God, and we are His!
