April 29 - Psalms 103:19-22
The Lord has made the heavens His throne; from there He rules over everything. Praise the Lord, you angels, you mighty ones who carry out His plans, listening for each of His commands. Yes, praise the Lord, you armies of angels who serve Him and do His will! Praise the Lord, everything he has created, everything in all His kingdom. Let all that I am praise the Lord!
Let's take a minute to reflect on our Great God today and praise Him for who He is! We know that He created the heavens and the earth, but how long has it been since we stopped to consider His royal position over all of it? Everything He made (which is basically everything but Himself) is under His righteous charge. Nothing. NOTHING happens apart from His knowledge and permission. There are armies of angels at His command. Ready to carry out His plans in this world, and in the one to come. Legions of angels who acknowledge His Lordship and worship Him day and night! If even the angels recognize that He is worthy of all honor, and glory, and power, and praise, shouldn't we do the same? May we lift our voices in worship with the choirs of heaven and declare today that He is Lord! For this great and mighty God has made us His own! We are forever, His. May all that we are praise the Lord!
