July 5 – Hosea 6: 3

Oh, that we might know the Lord!
Let us press on to know Him.
He will respond to us as surely as the arrival of dawn or the coming of rains in early spring.

May this be the cry of our hearts for as long as we live!

Friends, we do not serve a god made of wood or stone. He is not the figment of some man’s imagination. Neither is He a distant god, going about his business without a care for the happenings of humans. No. We serve a Living God who has made Himself known to us. We serve a feeling Father who longs for deep, intimate relationship with us. Oh, that we might respond!

May we spend our lives pressing in to know Him more! May there never be a day that goes by without time spent seeking Him. Let’s dig into His Word. Let’s uncover the treasures He’s revealed to us in those precious pages. Let’s ask for eyes to see and ears to hear. Let’s beg for a heart that understands, and may our feet be quick to obey!

We serve a God who relentlessly pursues His own. So we can be sure – ABSOLUTELY CERTAIN – that He will respond. We can know and believe with every fiber of our being that every moment spent in pursuit of Him will return in full, multiplied, yet making room for more. May our lives be spent pursuing Him with the same passion with which He pursues us so that we can know Him fully and be fully known!
