November 9 – Revelation 7:11-12

And all the angels were standing around the throne and around the elders and the four living beings. And they fell before the throne with their faces to the ground and worshiped God. They sang, “Amen! Blessing and glory and wisdom and thanksgiving and honor and power and strength belong to our God forever and ever! Amen.”

As the dearly loved sons and daughters of the Lord God of Heaven’s Armies, there is something we need to understand. We need this truth to sink deep into our souls and change us forever: Our God is worthy of ALL glory, and ALL honor, and ALL power, and ALL praise!

Those things belong to Him, because they are who He is! He will be worshiped for all eternity whether we choose to praise Him now or not. He will be glorified forever – with or without us. His rule and His reign are sure, and they are everlasting. The day will come when every knee will bow before Him, and every tongue in heaven and on earth will confess that HE IS LORD!

As surely as you and I live and breathe, these things are already done. The angels and all God’s holy people will spend time immeasurable worshiping Him. With our eyes finally opened to the reality of His magnitude, there is nothing we’ll want more than to fall before Him day and night offering our sincere thanks for who He is and for all He has done for us.

Why wait? Shouldn’t our eyes already be opening to His magnitude? Shouldn’t we be experiencing more and more of who He is day by day so that we can’t help but fall before Him in thanksgiving? What a blessing it is to belong to Him, my friends! May we live in that truth every day of our lives and forevermore!
