This Day in History: 0000-11-30
November 30 – Psalms 28:6-7
Praise the Lord! For He has heard my cry for mercy. The Lord is my strength and my shield. I trust Him with all my heart. He helps me, and my heart is filled with joy. I burst out in songs of thanksgiving.
Let’s do something together on this, the last day of November, and the last day of our Thanksgiving series. Some of you may already have been doing this all month, so it will be a little easier for you.
Let’s take a little time to count our blessings today. Literally. Let’s get out a piece of paper and write down every single blessing we can think of. Every. Single. Thing.
While we’re at it, let’s dedicate an entire section of that list to answered prayers. Let’s think back over our lives and remember some of the things we’ve called out to God for. Go back as far as you can remember. Write down how He answered. Write down how He strengthened you and equipped you for each trial. Write down how He saw you through!
Work on it throughout the day if you need to. Spend some time thinking about it. Let’s try and get as much as we can. Then, let’s thank God for each and every one! Let’s grow our gratitude to Him as we are overwhelmed by His faithfulness. By day’s end, may we be bursting with songs of thanksgiving, for our God is good!
