"All praise to God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. God is our merciful father and the source of all comfort. He comforts us in all our troubles so that we can comfort others. When they are troubled, we will be able to give them the same comfort God has given us." 2 Corinthians 1:3-4
Apart from the blog our coaching ministry is the primary way we're able to help people find the healing we've found. Through one-on-one communication, as well as groups and classes, we offer support and accountability. If what you need is intense psychological counseling, we're not the right people to help you. We're not counselors, and that's not what we're trying to do here. Our Resources Page offers some great recommendations for anyone needing this sort of care. However, if you're looking for two people who have been through the fire and have found healing through Christ who are willing to walk beside you as you heal, we're your people. You can expect us to be:
- Committed, first and foremost, to the Word of God and to prayer.
We believe the Bible holds all the answers we need. We'll not only help you find them, but help teach you how to listen to the leading of the Holy Spirit for yourself as you seek Him through His Word. We'll pray with you and for you with passion and love because as our brothers and sisters in Christ, you matter to us very much!
- Honest, but loving communicators.
We're committed to straight-forward, no-nonsense relationships based in Christian love. We're not going to help you make excuses for the rest of your life so that you never move from victim to victor. We believe God has set us free from that sort of life, and there's simply no good reason to live there. We care too much about you to help you stay there.
- Practical in our approach.
We've discovered so many tools that really work, and we're learning more all the time on our own journey to healing. We want to help you move as quickly as possible to a place of healing and wholeness.
Basically, what we're offering is discipleship and accountability. Intimate betrayal leaves couples feeling isolated. Alone. We don't want you to have to feel that way. Success is much more likely in community, and we want to help you find a whole new family of brothers and sisters who understand this trial, who have been there too, and who have allowed God to use the trials to bring them closer to Himself than ever before!
HDLD Ministries Classes & Groups
HDLD Ministries is working on putting together a number of classes & accountability groups. Below you will find a few we're currently working on. If you would be interested in one of them, and would like to sign up to reserve your spot, click the link and fill out our contact form. Tell us which class you're interested in, and we'll be sure to let you know as soon as it's ready to go!
*Many of our classes are facilitated through Facebook, so if you don't have an account you may want to create one just for this. And if you don't already follow us there, you can do that HERE.
His Dearly Loved Daughters is a secret Facebook group for women who are passionate about seeking and following God as they heal from betrayal trauma. If this describes you, and you're eager to connect with other women in the same place, message me today on Facebook, and we'll get you added!
HDLD Speaking Ministry
We're so excited to be starting a speaking ministry here at His Dearly Loved Daughter Ministries! (And a little nervous too, if we're honest.) But once again, it is a step we KNOW God is asking us to take... so here we go!
We'd love to be a part of your event. Whether it be a marriage retreat or conference or seminar (both Steve and Cherith), an event for your church's women's ministry (just Cherith), or a men's group (just Steve), we want to be there! We have a wide range of topics we're eager to address like:
Hope House and the Hope for Tomorrow Program
The big idea we're working on right now is something we're calling "The Hope for Tomorrow Program." We'd love to take this opportunity to tell you a little about it and invite you to join us in making it a reality.
THE PROBLEM - An alarming number of women who find that the man they've been married to for years is actually a sex addict are in situations in which they have almost no support system to help them navigate the treacherous waters of recovery. As they begin to realize the scope of the addiction, the danger they're in, and what is going to be needed in order to have any hope of healing, so many become so overwhelmed with helplessness and confusion that they give up before they ever start. Either they resort to remaining in an abusive situation and take on the role of a victim for the rest of their lives, or they walk away and never look back. But neither of those options are really the best case scenario, and too often families are being wrecked when just a little bit of help could have totally changed the outcome.
THE NEED - What these precious women need is so simple. They need a support system. They need options. They need a safe place where they can go for a time (and bring their kids if needed) in order to stabilize from the trauma of discovery. They need to realize their value and identity in Christ; learn how to navigate their situation with love AND healthy, Biblical boundaries; and make a game plan to move forward. Our hope is that it will be toward healing and a healthy, restored marriage.
OUR GOAL - We want to be able to provide that safe place AND that support system. We'd love to purchase a small house or condo in our area and make it available to as many women as possible. We've got the program ready to go, (Or... at least enough of it to get started. Obviously, it would be a work in progress) and our church is on board and ready to help provide the support system. All we need is the place. No doubt, this is a big piece of the puzzle, and God is going to have to show up big-time to provide. But HE IS ABLE!
If this sounds like a project you'd like to help with you can click the button below to donate to the cause. If we all work together, "Hope House" can be a reality by this time next year!
